Budget 2027, presented on 9 October 2026, announces RM935 million for tourism and culture and extends Visit Malaysia into 2027. The official speech broadens matching-grant support to international cruise ships, ferries and tour buses, alongside new direct air routes from China, India, Central Asia and Europe. Appendix 29 proposes extending qualifying MICE tax incentives through Years of Assessment 2028–2030. These announcements do not confirm Hari-Hari’s eligibility or an open application window.

Poland–Penang winter charters: what is announced

Bernama’s 7 October report describes a LOT Polish Airlines winter charter programme from 5 November 2026 to 25 March 2027: around 19 flights, with 250–300 travellers expected per flight. Existing programmes offer seven- or fourteen-day holidays. A travel agency and DMC are already involved, so complementary excursions and itinerary extensions are more realistic opportunities than assuming the core contract is available. Earlier development reports named Rainbow Tours; current responsibilities and cooperation terms should be confirmed with Penang Global Tourism and the operator.

  • Grant enquiries: ask Tourism Malaysia and MOTAC about eligible applicants, transport partnerships, covered costs and start dates. Have a tax adviser assess MICE eligibility before including savings in a proposal.
  • Polish-agent planning: explore Penang–Kuala Lumpur–Melaka cultural programmes, Langkawi extensions and Malaysia–Singapore combinations. Confirm charter ticket conditions, return arrangements and transfer time before adding destinations.
  • Families can combine heritage walks with beach time. Schools need age-appropriate learning visits; corporate groups need meeting and incentive arrangements. These are Hari-Hari planning ideas, not confirmed inclusions in the charter programme.
  • Request a tailored ground-handling proposal with dates, group size, hotel standard, meals and language needs. Polish-speaking services are subject to availability and advance confirmation.
