Tourism Malaysia strengthens Vietnam partnerships for MICE and educational travel
New travel-trade engagement in Ho Chi Minh City points to opportunities for Vietnamese agents planning Malaysia corporate, school and leisure groups.

Tourism Malaysia’s 4 October 2026 announcement describes meetings with Vietnamese travel agents and the Malaysia Business Chamber Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City. Alongside leisure holidays, discussions highlighted business events, educational travel and medical and wellness tourism. The agency reported 217,121 Vietnamese visitors to Malaysia in January–August 2026 and 167 weekly flights between the countries during that period. These are historical connectivity figures, not a guarantee of today’s schedule. This Hari-Hari update is published on 14 October; the announcement itself is not new today.
What this means for your Malaysia programme
For Vietnamese travel agencies, a Malaysia ground-handling partner can help turn an initial enquiry into a workable programme. Hari-Hari Travel & Holidays, a MOTAC-licensed Malaysia inbound travel agency and DMC, can prepare customised proposals for hotels, transfers, guides and visits. Our suggested starting points are a 4D3N Kuala Lumpur–Genting corporate trip and a 5D4N Malaysia educational tour. These are proposed itineraries, with activities, availability and prices to be agreed.

- Corporate and incentive groups: share meeting needs, group size, hotel expectations and travel dates so sightseeing and business activities fit together.
- Schools and universities: define learning goals, student ages, supervision and visit permissions before selecting educational stops.
- Vietnamese travel agents: request a tailored B2B proposal with clear inclusions, meal requirements, guide-language availability and booking terms.
- Hari-Hari’s next step: request introductions through Tourism Malaysia’s Ho Chi Minh City office, then qualify five potential agency partners before considering paid advertising. This is our recommendation, not an announced government programme.

The official release names Amirah Nadiah binti Mazlan as the Ho Chi Minh office director. Use the linked official announcement for current contact details. Hari-Hari does not claim participation in these meetings or a confirmed partnership with Tourism Malaysia or the agencies pictured.
