Malaysia–Bangladesh Tourism: New B2B Opportunities
MBTACN’s Dhaka launch and Chittagong Travel Mart create a timely opening for Malaysia DMC partnerships with Bangladesh agencies.
Hari-Hari Travel · Published · Updated

The Malaysia–Bangladesh Tourism, Arts & Cultural Network (MBTACN) launched in Dhaka on 28 September 2026. The Business Standard reports calls for B2B partnerships and joint packages across tourism, education, healthcare and business. VROMON’s founding information describes organisational membership and Muslim-friendly tourism cooperation. Separately, organiser The Bangladesh Monitor announces Chittagong Travel Mart for 8–10 October at The Peninsula Chittagong, with 28 participating organisations and US-Bangla Airlines as airline partner. This is a public fair with business networking opportunities, not a confirmed hosted-buyer programme.
What this means for your Malaysia programme
An April 2026 Bangladesh Monitor report quoted Malaysia’s High Commissioner: 281,492 Bangladeshi visitors in 2025, up 82.1%, a 300,000 target for 2026 and 41 weekly direct flights at that time. The target is not an achieved total; current schedules need checking. Hari-Hari’s assessment is to develop Bangladesh as a distinct agency market.

- Ask MBTACN/VROMON about Malaysian DMC membership eligibility, fees and introductions to outbound agencies. Ask the fair organiser whether Hari-Hari’s profile and confidential net-rate proposals can be circulated this week.
- Prepare four options: KL–Genting–Melaka family/groups; KL + Langkawi; Malaysia–Singapore; and education/STEM + leisure. Specify hotels, guides, transport, inclusions and cancellation terms.
- Malaysia DMC for Bangladesh travel agencies: FIT, GIT, families, education and corporate groups. Request Muslim-friendly meals and prayer-stop planning, with supplier arrangements verified individually.
- Contact Hari-Hari with dates, group size and budget for a customised Malaysia ground-handling proposal.

Independent planning analysis. Hari-Hari membership, fair participation and introductions are not confirmed. Packages, entry requirements and supplier availability require confirmation.
