JTB announced its cooperation with Tourism Malaysia on 24 September 2026. The September 2026–December 2027 framework includes MICE, school trips and study tours, alongside staff familiarisation visits and promotion. Joint product development and two-way charter initiatives are also discussed in the announcement.

What this means for your Malaysia programme

For Japanese travel agents and organisers, this is a useful signal to explore Malaysia programmes. Hari-Hari’s planning view is to start with the group’s purpose, then build a realistic route around learning visits, meetings or cultural experiences. The announcement itself does not confirm a particular package, departure or allocation.

  • Schools: define student ages, learning goals and visit permissions before choosing educational activities.
  • Companies: confirm meeting needs, hotel capacity, transport and event timing before adding incentive experiences.
  • Travel agents: share dates, group size, budget and guide-language requirements so local arrangements can be assessed.

Hari-Hari’s planning commentary is independent. This report does not imply a partnership with JTB or participation in this agreement. All proposed services require confirmation.
